The CONASENSE Journey: From Founding Vision to Global 6G Collaboration<\/h1>\n

CONASENSE (Communications, Navigation, Sensing and Services) is a global, volunteer-driven initiative advancing
\ninterdisciplinary 6G research by connecting communities across academia, industry, and institutions.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Founding Vision<\/h2>\n

CONASENSE was shaped around an interdisciplinary vision presented by Prof. Dr. Ramjee Prasad in 2011 and developed
\ntogether with Prof. Marina Ruggieri. The core idea anticipated 6G as an intelligent, heterogeneous wireless system
\nthat delivers not only ubiquitous communication, but also high-accuracy localization and high-resolution sensing.
\nIn this vision, communication, localization, and sensing coexist and share the same time\u2013frequency\u2013spatial resources.<\/p>\n

Building on this foundation, CONASENSE continues to address open research questions and develop community-driven
\ninsights on how convergent 6G ecosystems should be designed\u2014human-centric and sustainability-aware by design.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

From 2012 onward, CONASENSE evolved into an open, collaborative brainstorming and dissemination platform.

The platform aligns around key priorities such as context-awareness, mobility support, adaptation and learning

\ninterdisciplinary topics, use cases, sustainability requirements, and standardisation.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n
